Our Story

Our love of tea grew while we were living in Sri Lanka.

The island gave us a deeper appreciation for tea and the place it holds in everyday life. A cup became a reason to pause, spend time together, and discover something new. When we left, that love stayed with us.

Grand Tea House grew from our wish to share it. Based in British Columbia, we began with Ceylon Aura, our collection of teas from Sri Lanka, the island we once called home.

But our curiosity reaches beyond one country. We want to explore the many ways the world grows, prepares, and enjoys tea: Japanese green teas and matcha, Chinese tea traditions, Indian favourites, and teas from across Africa. Each destination offers its own flavours, stories, and ways of sharing a cup.

As we travel, we plan to discover these teas firsthand and gradually bring selected favourites to Grand Tea House. Our collection begins in Sri Lanka, with more origins to come.

Sharing these discoveries is at the heart of what we do. Through our tasting gatherings, we invite people to explore aromas, compare flavours, experiment with brewing, and find their own favourites. You don’t need to be a tea expert to join us. Curiosity is enough.

We hope Grand Tea House becomes a place where you can return to a tea you love and discover one you’ve never tried.
